Background
2012 was a stunning year for Richard. In January he exposed a rogue landlord in Bournemouth for the Sunday Express. In March he began an Olympics and Paralympics campaign, giving coverage to Team USA, Team Canada and Team GB's Olympic and Paralympic teams for local and national titles in their home countries. From there he took an interest in the therapeutic effects of cannabis and psychedelic drugs.
In May he ran for election as a Liberal Democrat candidate for Weymouth and Portland Borough Council. Coming fourth having spent the entire election supporting fellow candidates in fights to retain their seats, he was co opted and then elected to the South Dorset Lib Dem Constituency Executive Committee.
Who knows where things will lead from here?!
He began his career as a features writer for Mental Health Today in 2007. He has remained writing for Pavilion ever since, now under Dan Parton and writing for Learning Disability Today as well. He has published one off pieces in a number of publications in this time - see portfolio for details.
In early 2011 he began a stint professionally blogging for Tree.com in the US. Keen to break new markets, he now has a foothold in the US feature writing market, even after Tree.com restructured, ditching all their bloggers in July 2011.
